HELP! Uploading DV to mac book pro

It seems I have run into a situation. I just shot some footage on the Panasonic DVX 100A. It looks great by the way... On the camera's little monitor. I ran a fire wire cable from the camera to my Mac book pro and the tried to import it into iMovie 06 (Before you judge, I don't have FC)

It sees that my iMovie claims there was no camera attached and wouldn't import. I tried all the solutions the internet and help menu suggested
Turning on and off Camera/Computer
pulling the cable and reconnecting,
Even setting the time stamp on the camera. Still nothing. So I tried on my iMac G5 Desk top also iMovie 06 AND iMovie 08! I tried both fire wire ports and NOTHING! My iSight was recognized but not the DVX

Suggestions please?

Also I know someone who owns an OLD OLD DV camera. I have used it in the past and I know it can upload footage to both lap and desk top, If I use this camera for a play back to upload, will I suffer quality loss in the picture?

I've been programming DVD's with Scenarist now for over 2 years and consider myself quite good with it.
I will be moving back to Vancouver soon, and am wondering if there are many opportunities for DVD Programming there.
As far as I know we are possibly the only studio in Estonia that has this software - so just wondering how much of a 'standard' it is to Vancouver's industry.

Anyone else using Sonic Scenarist out there ?

“The Smiling Man” World Premiere and DVD Release Party

San Francisco makers Kelp Entertainment are proud to unveil their new detective mystery in a free Noir-themed bash and public screening at 12 Galaxies on the evening of August 7th, 8:00 P.M.

Set in San Francisco, 1948, “The Smiling Man” tells the story of down-on-his-luck private detective Nick Chambers (Chris Hudak) as he tracks down a missing man with only a single lead to work from - a photograph of his grinning quarry. Without even a name to go on, Nick begins a citywide hunt for this mysterious missing person, but finds more questions than answers. Based on the short story written by Keoni Chavez, originally published in the anthology “Fog City Nocturne”, and directed by B.J. West, The Smiling Man pays loving homage to the classic detective films of the forties, while adding a decidedly post-modern slant.

The centerpiece of the evening will be two screenings of “The Smiling Man”, each lasting 37 minutes, once in vintage black and white, and later in color. Many members of the cast and crew will be on hand to share anecdotes and answer questions.

Zelda Gale and the Tuxedo Junkies will keep the joint swinging between screenings, and guests can compete in a “Liar’s Dice” tournament for valuable prizes. Refreshments will be available for purchase at 12 Galaxies’ bar.

1940’s clothing is encouraged, but by no means required.

Any one know of a "print on demand" dvd source?

Hello folks,

I have tried now for approximately 8 months to get something worthwhile out of lulu.com's much touted set up for making individual DVD's on demand. So far, no luck at all. They claim to be allow to recieve a dvd via ftp or upload, but it seems clear enough their system simply cannot do what they say it can do. Too bad. Good concept, if only it worked.

So, anybody know of a system for producing dvd's on demand - one at a time, that really does work?

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

regards,

So, I have a DVD of a dance performance that I want to post on YouTube. When I explored the DVD, I found that it has a TS_BUP and TS_video/TS_Audio files. I don't have Nero or Roxio Toast.... Does anyone have a way that I can extract the .avi or .mov files from this?

Thanks in advance!

Am I really lame or have they not created a product that will take actual MiniDV tapes and convert them to DVDs in one deck? I can't find this product anywhere and I'd like to get around having to have the camcorder on hand to make a DVD.

I have a deck that takes MiniDV tapes and converts to VHS... you'd think that this could be done too.

Any suggestions?

A friend is doing a presentation in flash, but the final delivery is to a 65" monitor that can handle anamorphic media - HD dvds are out of the question (no available player). I have zero experience with anamorphic media.

Am I crazy in thinking that the flash file will have to be creation in anamorphic, then output to quicktime, then brought DVDSP for dvd creation?

Do any of you have suggestions for the best companies to handle DVD encoding and/or manufacturing in Northern California. I was using a company in L.A. that is full service but I wasn't too pleased with the outcome. Would love any referrals to companies that you out there have used. Also, any warnings against places that do shoddy work would be appreciated. I am quite meticulous and want a place or placesthat really do good quality control.

8MM to DVD

I live in Boston and I need this info on a company or group here in MA that handles this sort of procedure. I need some information or maybe a company that specializes in taking an 8mm video tape and pass it onto a DVD for viewing on a regular DVD player.
I have 12 8MM tapes that I took with my camera back in the 80's and I don't have the viewer anymore and buying one is really not what i have in mind. So if anybody has any idea or knows this kind of service I would really appreciate it. Thanks a million.

I just built a PVR and want to understand the DVD creation process a little better and get suggestions for inexpensive software that can create DVD that can plan in home players using movies from my PVR. A good webpage with a basic outline of the DVD authoring process would be helpful.

Thanks,

Searching software options for creating DVD from MiniDV

I want to provide my library with the ability to convert MiniDV footage to DVD - with editing capability but also with a non-editing (direct dubbing) option. I've been looking at Pinnacle Studio Plus Version 10.5 Titanium Edition (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=2204097&sku=P121-8130).

Does anyone have experience with this product or other recommendations?

Thank you!

I've got two copies of a film one a 1,645,283 ko mpg (74mn) the other a miniDV will there be a big difference in quality between the two? I'm going to do it with adobe. And this might sound ignorant but mpg's don't have that region 1 region 2 stuff do they? So would a mpg put on a DVD have it?

VIDEO PRODUCTION SAILING THE MED>JOIN US!

Beginning in March next year, we are inviting 9 people to cruise from Bodrum, Turkey along the Turkish coast, Cyprus, Athens, Alexandria on a share expenses basis (very, very inexpensive). We began a documentary in Paris and Turkey last year, and now as it gets warmer in Turkey we are going to complete it. We have a US distributor, and everyone involved will share in profits. It could be quite profitable for you and a real life changer. We are in pre-production of three others...one on black jazz in Paris after WWII until now. We have a Turkish captain/crew/cook on our 70' Gulet, 6 double staterooms still available, all with their own head (toilet and shower). Qualifications? Simply to be able to get along with people. Age? Our producer is 60, our editor is 25. Age inmaterial if you are young in spirit. If you have video experience (HD MiniDV PAL and Final Cut Pro, writing) all the better, but we are doing this to perhaps expand the focus of our documentary which is based on the mystical aspects of Alexander the Great - Title: Force of Evidence. Creative people get free reign as long as they don't sink the ship or the project. We are interested to add some human interest...profound, provocative, funny...to the program, so film making experience in not a requirement. Come for a week or two months. Email me for details.

"Data Exceeds Multiplexible Bitrate"

Hello folks,

I 've trying to burn a dvd, and just when it looks like its about to work, I get the error message 'DATA EXCEEDS MULTIPLEXIBLE BITRATE". and the process aborts.

(Note: this is a DIFFERENT error message that "Data Exceeds Disk space ," which I never seem to get).

None of the experts I've consulted have a clue what to do. They've suggested lowering the bitrate a little when making the MPEG file, but this doesn't seem to help. (I've lowered it by increments from over 8,000 to about 2000, and I STILL get the same error message. (Besides, lowering the bitrate to 2000 creates an image so pixilated, grainy and washed out it'd be useless to me even if it DID burn a DVD).

I am using Adobe Premiere 6.5 to create and edit the timeline, and the bundled DVDIT! Le software to burn the DVD, running all this on a PC. The program is approx 58 minutes of video and stereo audio, with no great special effects or anything particularly out of the ordinary. I create a MPEG file (actually a .m2v file and a .wav file), then try to burn this onto the disk using DVDIT! LE. If I try to burn a 20 minute segment of it at bitrate of approx 5000, it works fine. I just can't get it to burn the whole 58 minutes onto a single disk, (which IS what I need to do).

Any idea what may be causing this? (Or what to do about it?)

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

regards,

Positions for Production Assistants Now Available For Exciting & New Documentary Film!

www.authentic-unifying.com/film.html

PROJECT
We are presently in production of a wonderful documentary film entitled, In the Heart of the Deathless, which explores the vitality for life which is to be found through a direct confrontation with death. Production has grown to such a degree that we now seek additional assistance to satisfy the basic needs of production.

POSITION
We seek individuals with prior experience for two positions:
1) On-Set Assistant: Help set-up and strike the lights and sound for a basic “interview-style” film-set. Several interviews may be scheduled during the week (Thurs – Sat) throughout the SF Bay Area and elsewhere. Each interview lasts no more than two hours, necessitating a maximum 3-hour time commitment from PAs. All filming is scheduled a minimum of ten-days in advance and you will be notified upon scheduling.
2) Off-Set Assistant: Help in office by responding to e-mail & voicemail, scheduling interviews, running errands, and sending postal mail. Position may also include the possibility for grant-writing, web-design, and public relations / marketing.

COMPENSATION
Both Production Assistant positions will receive credit in the film.
1) On-Set Assistant will gain invaluable filmmaking experience and a unique opportunity to meet some of the world’s most prominent scholars and spiritual leaders of our time. We also agree to provide one “craft service” meal per shoot.
2) Off-Set Assistant will receive a percentage of whatever moneys are generated by their direct assistance with the film (in terms of grant-writing, marketing, and general public-relations).

REQUISITE SKILLS:
1) On Set Assistant:
Filmmaking Experience / Technical skills
Organized & Personable / Able to work well with others
Punctual & Efficient / Capable of receiving and accomplishing necessary tasks promptly
Grant Writing / Sufficient writing skills for drawing up proposals from grants from template
Transportation / Valid and current driver’s license and vehicle

2) Off-Set Assistant:
Secretarial Skills / Appropriate phone presence and message-keeping
Dan@authentic-unifying.com.

We sincerely feel that this film is desperately needed to be made, not only by those who have been diagnosed with terminal illness and their caretakers, but by the culture at large who have become so blinded by the lights of youth and beauty that they have lost sight of what is most valuable.

Portable DVD Recorder

Does anyone know of a portable DVD recorder that I can use to make window dubs of footage shot in the field? The idea is to burn a DVD in real time as we shoot on DV, so that we can give a client the raw footage for them to watch at home on a DVD player.

There are plenty of DVD recorders, but they all seem pretty fragile, meant to not move around too much. Any ideas?

Thanks
Hal

ps a window dub is a copy of raw footage with the timecode burned into the screen, for editing purposes.

I have a situation where I just completed a film short. I was uninformed before making my decision regarding HDV..

I was asked before shooting if I would like to shoot on HDV I thought Hell yeah! Why not? Well apparently the why not would be,

The camera used is a JVC, My editor can not edit HDV..
So Now I am looking to transfer HDV to DV
1. Any suggestions?
The DP is unwilling to let us use the camera for playback, and I have found that JVC formats it's tapes different than say SONY or PANASONIC, and the post houses don't use JVC I don't have the financial resources required by the bigger houses to do a transfer. I need help.

I've seen a few Amaray cases that claim to be clear but are instead a sort of milky translucent. You can read large letters through them -- if you squeeze the box and squint a bit.

Are CLEAR Amaray cases made? When I look online, I only seem to find the translucent ones.

I have a Canon XL-2 and a Canon GL-2 (both Digital Video cameras) and I am looking to possibly upgrade both for either a JVC-HD100/GY-HD101 or a Canon XLH1 for my next documentary film.

All cost considerations aside, do any of you have any thoughts on this?
Thanks!

OTHER than DVD...

...is there a method to produce a disk (CD or DVD) that can be viewed with a commercial DVD player.

An acquaintance wants to shoot movies with his digital camera and send disks to his relatives who have a DVD player and a television but no computer, but he has no DVD burner.

The first idea that came to mind was a video CD, which I think has pretty grotty resolution, 352x240 or something nasty like that. Plus he hates how the 16/9 ratio gets squished to video CD.

I suggested he just buy a DVD burner and use simple editing software and be done with it.

However...

Is there any other method of video delivery that you might know of that would fit these odd peculiarities?

When duplicating DVDs for distribution... What media do you find to be the most broadly compatible with stand-alone consumer DVD players? Of the ones I can buy in the store, I've had the best luck with Imation 8x DVD-Rs... Worst luck with DVD+Rs of any type... and 16x media plays great on my computer players but not so well on the consumer decks.

Any thoughts? What do you use?

Encore question #2

Well, this is interesting.

I have a project. I built the video using Adobe Premiere. I exported uncompressed AVI files. I imported the files (and menus and whatnot) into Adobe Encore. Then I built a nice little NTSC DVD.

The client was happy.

Now the clint wants a PAL DVD.

As I cruise through Encore's controls, I don't see an obvious way to convert an EXISTING project to PAL. Near as I can tell, I can make a new project, call it PAL, and re-import the AVI files and then produce a PAL DVD, but that means rebuilding all that menu junk.

As far as you know or can tell, what would be the shortest path to building a PAL version of this DVD? Does Encore do this with the flip of a tricky-to-find switch?

wtf DVDSP and DL formatting?!

So I am having a problem. I get my project all lined up to go in DVDSP 4.0.2 and it looks like, with the encoder settings I chose, that the build will be 7.5GB. Then I tell it to build and come back many hours later only to have it tell me the material is actually about 9GB and won't fit. So I lower the bit rate and repeat and the same thing keeps happening.

Should I encode outside of DVDSP or am I doing something else wrong? I have had no problem with SL formatting.

ack! software insanity

hey ya'll-=-
im accustomed to using a mac, a high end camera, and final cut pro to create videos for a wedding chapel.

but...the almost-ex drove away with that stuff. now i have a PC and whatever software i can download for next to nothing at my disposal...

so--i have a stack of little tiny Sony DVD-RWs that hold people's cherished wedding ceremonies. now, people can view these little dvds on their dvd player, but--that means they don't get a DVD menu, or a nice fade in, fade out in the ceremony. not to mention, the date that shows up at the beginning is years off. UGH.

i'm trying to import the footage, but it's in .IFO format. i downloaded IM TOO Ripper to convert the .IFO to .MPEG, but it looks like .BUTT.

any suggestions on an mpeg converter, and what the settings should be configured at?? and then--a program for creating the dvd itself?

argh.

thanks in advance for any advice!

Encore question

Howdy!

Generally, I use Adobe Encore to make my DVDs and it seems to do a right nice job.

But I've got a question I can't seem to answer using the Encore literature, so maybe someone here can suggest something.

I'm making a tutorial on DVD. The tutorial consists of 8 different processes. Each process is a timeline of its own.

Now, what the original project spec calls for is that each process play and then it bounces back to the main menu, with the next project in the sequence highlighted. This, of course, is easy.

What I would LIKE to do is add an additional menu option, "play all", that would play all eight processes in sequence.

Based on my rudimentary understanding, this doesn't seem do-able. I mean, a timeline can only have one upon-completion action, right? I mean, DVD programming doesn't include conditionals.

So, what I FIGURE I can do is put two timelines for each sequence: Timelinex_ReturnMenu and Timelinex_PlayAll (where x = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8). I ought to be able to fit duplicates on the DVD -- the files aren't THAT huge.

But that got me wondering -- IS there wa way to program a DVD? Is there way to set up a sort of script, such that when I click "Play all", the script kicks in and says "play 1, then 2, then 3, then 4, then 5, then 6, then 7, then 8"?

I KNOW I've seen such options in commercial DVDs, so it seems possible in theory.

Thoughts? Ideas?

Does anyone else use Encore?

Interlacing with TMPG Encoder?

Here's a good one,

I'm wondering what the process would be for encoding MPEG2's with TMPG where the source is interlaced at 720x486. I've tried stretching and that causes all kinds of fielding problems on playback, and I've tried cropping to 720x480 but it seems to work on some tvs/players and not on others. I'm having a hard time getting consistant results.

Anyone here familiar with interlacing and encoding?

Okay, heres the question... broadcast-safe area in DVD studio pro/FCP

So when you export a quicktime from FCP it is bigger than broadcast safe, and will be cropped on a regular TV set. Is there any way around this, like maybe a setting in the MPEG encoder in DVDSP? Setting it for a larger field size than the movie itself? I have like forty movies to put on DVD and it takes forever to resize them and render in FCP. Any advice would be appreciated.

Since March: 2 Completed, third in production...

About me:
I am an actor/writer. I write dialogue & character driven pieces.

As a writer: I have optioned several screen plays, 2 TV Pilots and written for syndicated television.

As an actor: I have appeared on stage, screen and TV.

AVAILABLE:
DV Feature Script: HAPPY CHRISTMAS, MERRY CHANUKAH

The stage play hailed as "..a healthy shot in the arm to your normal holiday fair" "the kind of party that can explode at any moment" By BSw critic T.H. McCullough is now a screen play. The DV can be done on a low budget in approximately two weeks with minimal crew in one home.

SHORTS:
1. Coats: 2 ex lovers meet in the back room of a party and the sparks ignite
2. Giving Thanks: A thanksgiving charade brings two close friends together
3. Up all night: Some guys can't get it up & some guys...
4. Sunday: Sunday is anything but quiet when one friend needs help with his love life
5. Valentines Day: Sometimes love is in your own back yard

UNDER TEN MINUTES
1. US; Two friend discover love... with each other
2. A simple Goodbye: There is no good in this good bye, or is there?
3. Tom & Jeff: A brief lesson in romance

I am looking for filmmakers who, like me, want to make magic.

These scripts were written for stage and are being adapted for film. We will work together on these changes. You... the director, will be an integral part of the process.

hi dvd prod tribesters
for reasons i'll skip, i can't use my existing computer setup to create my dvd demo reel. if any sf area residents on this tribe are looking for some extra $, i am looking for someone to assist me in editing together some quicktime files of my work, maybe using finalcut, create a dvd menu using graphics of mine, and then burn out some dvds.
i have done this in the past and usually got it done in one session, maybe four hours maximum.
if you're interested, maybe you could contact me through my tribe page instead of responding here. if you know of anybody who might be interested, please pass on the info.
thanks alot, i appreciate it - ven

Hello all,

I know this should be simple, but heres what I've tried so far, to no avail.
I made all my chapter marks in Final Cut Pro. I then made it into a quick time movie. I then imported the quick time into iDVD. It took about 5 hours to load and didn't read the chapters. Any ideas??
thank you,

hi, there,
i'm making imovies using my still photographic art, using a variety of effects, transitions, titles, ken burns effect, themes, stories, etc. i can make the movies, but then i am having problems with how to get them in the proper format. i'm not naturally a techie, and actually get ill if i stress over something like this too much. i have questions that come up regularly, and keep getting stumped, with deadlines coming up soon. i just got quicktime pro. i'm saving the movies right now as quicktime pro with no compression because i want them to be projected. but will they be able to be watched on tv if they are best quality? i can't check it out because they won't play anyway on the dvd with our tv, but i have no idea why. a major setback, because i am hosting an art salon on the 27th, supposedly to show off the movies. i don't think it is because it is a cd-r, though i can't find that model in any of the compatability charts. because it will at least read it if it isn't saved in quicktime, just not play it. but with quicktime, it says disc error, won't even read it. if anyone can write to me and help me with this, i would be sooo grateful! you can see my art at www.artbeacon.com/tantravision. my email is flameflower@runbox.com.

i have tried a lot of software.
None of them DVD authoring wares can do DVD-audio.
I have tried an alternative way which fials, too.
this alternative way is to use singla JPG pictures as visual element and treat AC3 as the audio part.
most of the wares seem to treat video as a basic element.
I heard that Diskwelder in different versions at http://www.minnetonkaaudio.com/ can do the job,
anyone tested?

Does anyone know any shareware programs that I can use to edit (select sections of) a VOB file? I'm looking for something that allows me to see the image I am cutting into. I've been scanning around online, but all of the stuff I've tried so far doesn't work well.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Make $5000 a week...Guaranteed!

I REALLY GET BACK GOOD MONEY USING THE LAW OF GIVING AND RECEIVING!
I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now, and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought, Yeah right, this must be a scam, but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 to each of the 6 names and address stated in the article. You then place your own name and address in the bottom of the list at #6, and post the article in at least 200 newsgroups. (There are thousands) No catch, that was it. So after thinking it over, and talking to a few people first, I thought about trying it. I figured: what have I got to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00, right? Then I invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!!... within 7 days, I started getting money in the mail! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about $25.00. By the end of the second week I had made a total of over $1,000.00! In the third week I had over $10,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. It's certainly worth $6.00, and 6 stamps, I have spent more than that on the lottery!! Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works....Also, make sure you print a copy of this article NOW, so you can get the information off of it as you need it. I promise you that if you follow the directions exactly, that you will start making more money than you thought possible by doing something so easy! Suggestion: Read this entire message carefully! (print it out or download it.) Follow the simple directions and watch the money come in! It's easy. It's legal. And, your investment is only $6.00 (Plus postage)

IMPORTANT: This is not a rip-off; it is not indecent; it is not illegal; and it is virtually no risk - it really works!!!! If all of the following instructions are adhered to, you will receive extraordinary dividends.

PLEASE NOTE: Please follow these directions EXACTLY, and $50,000 or more can be yours in 20 to 60 days. This program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants. Do you think I would be wasting my time posting to 1000's of newsgroups like this one if it did not work. Please continue its success by carefully adhering to the instructions. You will now become part of the Mail Order business. In this business your product is not solid and tangible, it's a service. You are in the business of developing Mailing Lists. Many large corporations are happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. However, the money made from the mailing lists is secondary to the income which is made from people like you and me asking to be included in that list. Here are the 4 easy steps to success:
STEP 1: Get 6 separate pieces of paper and write the following on each piece of paper;PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST.Write your name and address. Now get 6 US $1.00 bills and place ONE inside EACH of the 6 pieces of paper so the bill will not be seen through the envelope (to prevent thievery). Next, place one paper in each of the 6 envelopes and seal them. You should now have 6 sealed envelopes, each with a piece of paper stating the above phrase, your name and address, and a $1.00 bill. What you are doing is creating a service. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL! You are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying for it! Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it all. So I checked it out with the U.S. Post Office (1-800-725-2161) and they confirmed that it is indeed legal! Mail the 6 envelopes to the following addresses:

#1) B. Brown
1208 Steeple Ridge Ct
McKinney, Tx 75069 USA

#2) M. Lussier
3112 133A Ave
NW, Edmonton, AB T5A 2Z8

#3) C. Dixon
PO Box 1253
Commack, NY 11725

#4) S. Tenhagen
PO Box 715
Saline, MI 48176

#5) D. Beran
712 Dundas St,W
Whitby, Ontario, Canada, L1N 2N4

#6) J. Geathers
2282 Pineridge St
Orangeburg, SC 29118

STEP 2: Now take the #1 name off the list that you see above, move the other names up by DELETING the numbers next to them and changing it to one down so...(6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc...) and add YOUR Name as number 6 on the list.
(THINK ABOUT THIS: - THE FURTHER YOUR NAME IS TO THE BOTTOM, THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL MAKE - MAKE SENSE HUH? - YOUR NAME STAYS IN CIRCULATION - DON'T THINK THAT YOU CAN HURRY THE PROCESS BY PUTTING YOUR NAME IN THE FIRST SLOT - YOU ARE ACTUALLY STOPPING YOUR NAME FROM BEING CIRCULATED OVER AND OVER.)

STEP 3: Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at least 200 newsgroups. (I think there are close to 24,000 groups) All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money you make! This is perfectly legal! If you have any doubts, refer to Title 18 Sec. 1302 & 1341 of the Postal lottery laws. Keep a copy of these steps for yourself and, whenever you need money, you can use it again, and again.
PLEASE REMEMBER that this program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants and by their carefully adhering to the directions. Look at it this way. If you are of integrity, the program will continue and the money that so many others have received will come your way.
NOTE: You may want to retain every name and address sent to you, either on a computer or hard copy and keep the notes people send you. This VERIFIES that you are truly providing a service. (Also, it might be a good idea to wrap the $1 bill in dark paper to reduce the risk of mail theft.)
So, as each post is downloaded and the directions carefully followed, six members will be reimbursed for their participation as a List Developer with one dollar each. Your name will move up the list geometrically so that when your name reaches the #1 position you will be receiving thousands of dollars in CASH!!! What an opportunity for only $6.00 ($1.00 for each of the first six people listed above) Send it now, add your own name to the list and you're in business!

---DIRECTIONS ----- FOR HOW TO POST TO NEWSGROUPS------------
Step 1) You do not need to re-type this entire letter to do your own posting. Simply put your cursor at the beginning of this letter and drag your cursor to the bottom of this document, and select 'copy' from the edit menu. This will copy the entire letter into the computer's memory.
Step 2) Open a blank 'notepad' file and place your cursor at the top of the blank page. From the 'edit' menu select 'paste'. This will paste a copy of the letter into notepad so that you can add your name to the list. Step 3) Save your new notepad file as a .txt file. If you want to do your postings in different settings, you'll always have this file to go back to.
Step 4) Use Netscape or Internet explorer and try searching for various newsgroups (on-line forums, message boards, chat sites, discussions.)
Step 5) Visit these message boards and post this article as a new message by highlighting the text of this letter and selecting paste from the edit menu. Fill in the Subject, this will be the header that everyone sees as they scroll through the list of postings in a particular group, click the post message button. You're done with your first one! Congratulations...THAT'S IT! All you have to do is jump to different newsgroups and post away, after you get the hang of it, it will take about 30 seconds for each newsgroup! **REMEMBER, THE MORE NEWSGROUPS YOU POST IN, THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL MAKE!! BUT YOU HAVE TO POST A MINIMUM OF 200** That's it! You will begin receiving money from around the world within days! You may eventually want to rent a P.O.Box due to the large amount of mail you will receive. If you wish to stay anonymous, you can invent a name to use, as long as the postman will deliver it. **JUST MAKE SURE ALL THE ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT.**
Now the WHY part: Out of 200 postings, say I receive only 5 replies (a very low example). So then I made $5.00 with my name at #6 on the letter. Now, each of the 5 persons who just sent me $1.00 make the MINIMUM 200 postings, each with my name at #5 and only 5 persons respond to each of the original 5, that is another $25.00 for me, now those 25 each make 200 MINIMUM posts with my name at #4 and only 5 replies each, I will bring in an additional $125.00! Now, those 125 persons turn around and post the MINIMUM 200 with my name at #3 and only receive 5 replies each, I will make an additional $626.00! OK, now here is the fun part, each of those 625 persons post a MINIMUM 200 letters with my name at #2 and they each only receive 5 replies, that just made me $3,125.00!!! Those 3,125 persons will all deliver this message to 200 newsgroups with my name at #1 and if still 5 persons per 200 newsgroups react I will receive $15,625,00! With an original investment of only $6.00! AMAZING! When your name is no longer on the list, you just take the latest posting in the newsgroups, and send out another $6.00 to names on the list, putting your name at number 6 again. And start posting again. The thing to remember is: do you realize that thousands of people all over the world are joining the internet and reading these articles everyday?, JUST LIKE YOU are now!! So, can you afford $6.00 and see if it really works?? I think so... People have said, "e;what if the plan is played out and no one sends you the money? So what! What are the chances of that happening when there are tons of new honest users and new honest people who are joining the internet and newsgroups everyday and are willing to give it a try? Estimates are at 20,000 to 50,000 new users, every day, with thousands of those joining the actual internet. Remember: play FAIRLY and HONESTLY and this will really work.
Happy money making !!!
